Fun With Red...
Monday, March 23, 2009

So things have been pretty busy here over the last month. We got the call from Reel Issues Films and Riding Lights to do the post work on their latest short "Unscripted". Shot entirely on the Red One camera (by DP Phil Wood) we designed the workflow for the shoot as well as doing the online edit and grade.
The short has already been selected for the final of the 168 Film Festival in Hollywood and will have it's premier in April. We then got the nod to re-cut the film down to 7 minutes and online it for submission to the Doorpost Festival along with cutting a 30 second trailer.
"Thanks for what you've done. The 7-minute version is amazing. Thanks for managing to cut so that it makes sense. I was worried that by taking 4 minutes out we were kicking the life and sense out of it. But, you've managed to make it work. Thank you" - Jackie Sheppard, Producer.
"The colour, look and finish of this film has real quality. We are hugely grateful for the professional way in which you handled ever stage of the post work and brought your skills to the mix - Thank you." - Luke Walton, Reel Issues FilmsWe have all available fingers crossed that it does well at both of these festivals. We'll post some clips once we have clearance but in the meantime here are a couple of stills.
